Donation and Refund Policy for www.chandashouse.org

Effective date: October 9, 2026

Donations. Donations to Chanda's House are made through Givebutter. By donating, you confirm you are authorized to use the payment method you enter. Givebutter processes the payment and may charge processing fees. You will receive a receipt by email from Givebutter.

Refunds of donations. You may request a refund of a donation within 14 days of the date of the gift by emailing info@chandashouse.org. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Event registration, sponsorship, and exhibitor fees. Prices are those shown on the Attendee, Exhibitor, and Sponsorship pages.

If Chanda's House cancels or changes an event, or something outside our control prevents it (for example severe weather, a venue closure, or an emergency), we will refund the fees you paid to your original payment method.
Attendee cancellations: you get a full refund if you ask at least 14 days before the event. After that, fees are not refunded, but you may transfer your ticket to someone else by emailing info@chandashouse.org.
Sponsor and exhibitor cancellations: you get a full refund if you ask at least 30 days before the event. After that, fees are not refunded, because we will already have committed resources to your sponsorship or booth.

How to ask for a donation refund. Email info@chandashouse.org with your name, the date and amount of the gift, and the email address used. We will reply as soon as we can.

Changes. We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new effective date.

Chanda's House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 99-2176170. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please keep your Givebutter receipt for your records.

For event ticket, sponsorship, and exhibitor pages

Only the amount of your payment above the fair market value of what you receive is tax-deductible.
